Over the past few years Granary has produced many plays across many genres not just here in the Granary Theatre but off-site. Irish Premieres (4:48 Psychosis), revivals (Disco Pigs), devised plays (FOWL) and even musicals (Spring Awakening)! Fewer Emergencies is the second in a new series of theatre pieces being presented this year. The first, Spring Awakening, played to full houses in March and is transferring to the 600 seat Everyman Palace in October. After Fewer Emergencies we commence casting for the Irish Premiere of Sarah Kane’s Cleansed, which will be shown in preview in Granary in September and receive it’s Irish Premiere in Smock Alley Theatre in Dublin in November. We are also working on “That Night Follows Day” by Forced Entertainment’s Tim Etchells, for production next year.
