Meantime Theatre Company and Granary present
THE GOOD FATHER
by Christian O'Reilly
GRANARY STUDIO
July 20 - July 25 @ 9pm €10 €8 (preview on 20th €5)
Meantime Theatre Company was founded in April 2009 by a group of Cork-based theatre-makers. Long-time friends through UCC's Drama and Theatre Studies course, and Dramat, each of them went on to gather experience and expertise in diverse areas of theatre, and came together again based on the thought that joining forces essentially creates a ready-made company!
They agreed that this is the time where creating your own work and making your voice heard has never been more important, and that making fresh and exciting, relevant and accessible theatre is what they want to do.
Meantime's debut project, in association with The Granary Theatre - ‘The Good Father’ by Christian O'Reilly - will run at The Granary Theatre Studio from July 20th-25th 2009 at 9pm.
A love story of how two people starting at the end try to reach a new beginning. Tim and Jane are from different sides of the class divide, but after a random meeting at a New Year's Eve party leads to an unexpected pregnancy, they attempt to form a relationship against all the odds.
Directed by Maria Moynihan and starring Una Kirwan and James Browne.
Meantime is Una Kirwan, Lucie Ryan Donnelly, Marie-Therese Quirke, Maria Moynihan, Chris Schmidt-Martin and Eoin Winning.
